شاركت جامعة تعز، اليوم، في اجتماع افتراضي لشركاء مشروع YHELD الهادف إلى تطوير التعليم في الجامعات اليمنية،

وشارك في الاجتماع الافتراضي الأستاذ الدكتور رياض العقاب، نائب رئيس الجامعة لشؤون الطلبة، ومنسق المشروع بالجامعة.

وكرّس الاجتماع لمناقشة جملة من القضايا المتعلقة بآلية تنفيذ الأنشطة المتبقية واستكمال أنشطة برنامج عمل المشروع، بما يسهم في تعزيز جودة التعليم وتطوير قدرات الجامعات المشاركة.

ويضم مشروع YHELD عددًا من الجامعات اليمنية هي: جامعة تعز، جامعة عدن، جامعة أبين، جامعة شبوة، جامعة حضرموت، جامعة سيئون، وجامعة العادل، إضافة إلى عدد من المؤسسات والجامعات الدولية، من بينها:

اتحاد الجامعات المتوسطية (UNIMED)

كلية الدراسات الاجتماعية العليا (SASS)

مجلس الاعتماد للجامعات الرائدة في ريادة الأعمال (ACEEU GMBH)

جامعة مارتن لوثر، هالي-فيتنبرغ (Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg)

ويأتي هذا الاجتماع في إطار الجهود المشتركة لتعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي، وتبادل الخبرات، وتطوير البرامج التعليمية بما يلبي متطلبات سوق العمل ويرتقي بمستوى التعليم الجامعي في اليمن.

SEPTEMBER COORDINATION MEETING YHELD:

Monthly Project Meeting – September 2025

At the regular monthly project meeting held on 18 September 2025, partners from Yemeni universities, European institutions, and project coordinators focused on three key areas: project extension, implementation of training courses, and financial adjustments due to increased mobility costs.

Key Highlights

• Three project deliverables (D2.1, D2.2, D5.1) were successfully submitted, with four remaining to be completed.

• A request for a six-month project extension has been submitted to the European portal, enabling additional activities and enhanced internationalization.

• Physical training courses were confirmed to take place in Cairo or Amman; Yemeni partners expressed preference for Cairo and November dates.

• The total estimated cost of training and the final conference is €74,000, while the available budget covers €52,500, leaving a €22,000 gap.

• A co-financing model within the project budget was proposed, with partners contributing proportionally from staff cost categories. No individual or partner will bear out-of-pocket expenses.

Main Issue

The main challenge discussed was the €22,000 shortfall, caused by the European Commission’s requirement for two participants per Yemeni university at both the trainings and the final conference. The consortium agreed on an internal reallocation of funds to ensure all travel, accommodation, meals, and visa costs are fully covered, while enabling these essential in-person events.

Next Steps

Partners will finalize training dates and location in the coming weeks, the amendment and partnership addendum will be signed, and the next monthly meeting will be held in October.

The consortium remains committed to the successful implementation of the project, strengthening the capacity of Yemeni universities and supporting their international engagement.
